Fiji Water Abstract:

Fiji Water is very well recognized water company that bottles and sells all natural water. They pride themselves on the fact that no man will touch the water or change it until the customer opens the bottle. It is created on a remote Pacific island, bottled in the remote Yaqara Valley and undergoes a thorough process that makes it as the brand says “Earth’s Finest Water”. Fiji Water was founded in 1996 because they wanted to share “Earth’s Finest Water” with the world. The reason this water is so special is that of its unique source. The water is located very deep underground in the Fiji Islands. The area where the water is sourced from creates a very unique mineral profile for the water. These minerals contribute to the famous characteristics of having the best tasting water. Another reason Fuji Water is unique when compared to other water companies is that the packaging used. The bottles that are used are high-grade polyethylene terephthalate plastic. This type of plastic is fully recyclable and can be used to make a range of different things. Some products that can be made from the bottles are a beverage and food packaging, carpets, construction materials, car parts and more. Fiji Water can be found in many upscale hotels, restaurants, and retail locations. They also offer a delivery service.
A unique part of Fiji water is how they make their water. The water starts from a cloud high above the Fiji islands. Tropical rains then fall from the sky and are purified by the equatorial trade winds. The rain falls into a rainforest that is surrounded by dormant volcanoes. This water is then filtered by a volcanic rock which allows the water to gather minerals an electrolytes, that create Fijis soft smooth taste. This filtered water then collects in an artesian aquifer so it is protected from external elements that could interfere with pure water. Finally, this water is bottled ensuring that the water is “not touched by man”.
Fiji Water is all about trying to make a difference in the world and is committed to the responsible business. They invest in communities and the environment, and focus on prevalent issues and try to promote a positive change. They have initiatives and partnerships that build on this promise and motto. One of their initiatives is a charitable trust called the Fiji Water Foundation. It is supported by owners, employees, and corporate affiliates of Fiji Water. This philanthropic organization is one of the largest in Fiji and has three categories that they focus their efforts on. First, they want to make sure rural communities have clean water. Second, they build educational facilities for people of all ages. Finally, they provide health care services to communities who cannot get it themselves. They also help with disaster relief since the islands are frequently hit with tropical storms.
An important aspect of Fiji water is how they help to preserve the environment given the fact that their product relies heavily on a balanced and pure environment. In their efforts to do this, Fiji water has had a long term partnership with Conservation International which is an organization that is working to preserve the purity of the Fiji Islands. They focus especially on the Sovi Basin which is considered an unprotected rainforest. With this partnership, Fiji water has a long term conservation lease of 40,000 acres. Within their 40,000 acres, they work hard to prevent logging and degradation of the Sovi Basin. By doing this, they are able to preserve the environment and also have a positive impact on local communities. Their latest project with Conservation International is an initiative to restore 2,800 of degraded land on the island of Viti Levu. To restore this land, they are planting both native tree seedlings and hardwood timber. The native tree seedlings prevent soil erosion and protect endangered species. Hardwood timber planting helps to generate income in the future for local communities. By being an active member in helping the environment they are creating a chain reaction that not only helps the environment but also helps people surrounding the environment.
